Windows 7 is a still in beta Operating System that i believe is intended to replace Vista. Currently there is no way for the general public to get hold of an official beta of Windows 7 as the servers were closed back in february.Rumour has it that there will be a public RC released in April, but nothing official confirms or denies this. Once you get an official beta and install it, you will need a touchscreen monitor capable of single or multi touch in order to use the touch screen capabilities. And then you will need additional software to make multi touch work, however the last time i checked the multi touch software wasnt supporting 64 bit windows 7 so i've ignored it on my laptop. Finally even if you get the beta software, it is time limited, so currently in August you willl need to either reinstall your original OS, Install a newer Beta(if one is available) or purchase and install the release version of Windows 7 (although i doubt it will be out before August).Sanginius

Vista work will likely remain active for a period of time after the release of Windows7 - just as XP work has continued after the release of Vista. How long and how much will have to be determined by the releases that the Vista team announces.- John

Hi EgadsTake a look at the following link.Support Lifecycle Index - WScroll down to Windows Vista and select a version. In my experience, development will usually continue through the Mainstream Support phase.Look at the Microsoft Support Lifecycle Policy FAQ for a description of the different phases of support.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP
