IF SOME ONE HAS UPDATE THE MAJOR UPDATE OF WINDOWS 8.1 RELEASED ON 8 APRIL AND HAVE FOUND CORTANA ON DESKTOP VERSION PLEASE REPLY HERE AND I'M SURE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE ASKING THIS QUESTION BY NOW.

They wouldn't want it to get too useful.. They're doing the same marketing strategy on their Lumia crap phones, advertising they at least make good pictures, only to make the worst ones ever!
Microsoft used to be trustworthy. I mean, ok, they would maybe spy on you,, but at least the programs didn't crash if they were native Windows and the hardware was superior... Nowadays it's like they're actually trying to get away from that general idea...
Because who wants functionality these days anyway...?

Please release Cortana as soon as possible, even on Windows 8.1. I am begging you, using the iPad and voice software is just not a comparison, and Windows 8 needs it. The more important point, if WINDOWS STORE IS IN BOTH DESKTOP AND DESKTOP (so MS can
make money),THEN WHY IS IT NOT IN THE DESKTOP STORE????!!!! What different code does it need, can't MS make a simple frame to deliver the cloud-based app????? MILLIONS OF PEOPLE NEED THIS IMMEDIATELY AND THIS IS A MICROSOFT BLOG, I really hope this is prioritized

I too am hoping they will see the obvious bonanza they have here....I mean hello... desktops are the only platform that can be fully integrated into the permenant infrastructure of the home. Phones ,laptops and tablet are transients by comparison .
Imagine - Cortana it's cold in here can you adjust the heat. Whats on tv tonight , order me a pizza from tony's .

In the next iteration of Windows 9. It is reported that Cortana will be a part of this rendering. The preview of Windows 9 is expected to come out in late September or early October in preview and possibly Beta testing with the full program to be out in
Spring of 2015.

I hope so! I have heard great things of CORTANA! but as a tech i feel we all would luv to be able to walk into a room and the AI communicates with us. I wish they had made CORTANA for desktops sort of like the response that the xbox gives you by cam yet
the AI will respond with a random question or idea.

Well time they start additional package option along with win8.1 pc .. It can't be too tough to include packages and Apis to pc desktop.. It's just plain dumb.
