Hi Hazem, It appears the issue is with Kapersky software, which I have personally found in computers of quite a few clients who used it. I recommend installing AVG 8.5 from http://www.avg.com/product-avg-anti-virus - as long as you use Windows in-built firewall you truly do not need third party firewall, I say this from over 10 years of not using a third party firewall and still having a happy PC Computing life. I doubt it is to do with ISA Server, try above and if it does not work, let me know. CheersKindest regards Rick Satsan-Stellar B.A., Ad. Hi Hazem,Thank you for the post. As I understand your clients are all behind an ISA server, and all the network traffice will be proxyed, right? Generally, ifthe clients are not allowed to access Internet directly, ISA Firewall client will be needed to hook the network traffic, forward themto Internet through ISA server. Usually, ISA Firewall client is necessary for non-HTTP/HTTPs network application as IEcan be configured toproxy the HTTP/HTTPS traffic to Internet through Proxy server (Usually, ISA server is also a Proxy server). In this situation, once we remove ISA Firewall client, My Yahoo! Messenger and Windows Live Messenger might work as theywill automatically use IE proxy setting. ButMic or Cam components might not work as they use non-HTTP/HTTPS ports to communicate with other Yahoo users or Live Messenger users. As to compatibility of ISA Firewall client, so far as I know, ISA Firewall client is running properly onWindows 7 RTM. To further work this issue, I would suggest you try following things:1. Update ISA Firewall client. You may download the latest version of the Firewall Client from following link:Firewall Client for ISA Serverhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=05C2C932-B15A-4990-B525-66380743DA89&displaylang=en2. Additionally, you may enable proxy on IE manually and disable "Web browser automatic configuration" on ISA Firewall client. To do this, a. Double-click the Firewall Client icon to open Microsoft Firewall Client for ISA server window.b. Switch to Web Browser tab, uncheck the option "Enable Web browser automatic configuration". Click OK to apply the settings.c. After that, please open an IE window, click Tools manu, click Internet Options.d. Switch to Connections tab, click LAN settings button.e. Please check the option "Use a proxy server for your LAN", and type the proxy server manually. Click OK.3. At last, I would recommendyou check the Kaspersky configuration and explicite configure Kasperskytoallow the network trafficssent by "FwcMgmt.exe". Let me know if you have any furtherquestions or concerns. Thank you!Tim Chen

Hi Hazem,For step 2, I would like to double-confirm if you totally disabled the ISA Firewall Client by right-clicking the FW ICON, and click Disable menu. What I suggested is not to totally disable Firewall Client. Instead, I suggested we re-configure the ISA Firewall Client, and only disable "Web browser automatic configuration" option in ISA Firewall Client. Please try my steps exactly and see if the issue resolved. As for Kaspersky, I am sorry that I am not very familar with it. However, I tried my best to help you find following setup article for your reference:Setting up Kaspersky Internet Security 2009http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=71877&st=0&p=661125&#entry661125You may refer to the steps and try to re-configure it. For another work around, you may allow internal clients to send traffic to Internet through some specific Ports. However, you may need to edit your ISA server Firewall Policyand test it carefully. For Microsoft Live Messenger, the following TCP port will be used. TCP/80TCP/443TCP/1863TCP+UDP/5000:65535For more information, refer to following KB article:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927847Hope the information above helps. Best Regards,Tim Chen

I checked the screenshot, would you temporarily uncheck "Monitor all ports for specified applications" option in KAV? Let's see if it makes any difference.

Hi Hazem,Thank you for share the information with us. I agree with you that KAV might not becompatible with the Windows 7 RTM. In this situation, we may temporarily uncheck the "Monitor all ports" option to work the issue. I will also help check the KAV website periodically, and update the information here. BR,Tim Chen

Hello there, I have read ur querry. While installing ISA server or Client in WIn 7 You have to right check few of the options that appear during installation. I am running ISA with Win 7 perfectly and I am using AVG Antivirus and it open all my browsers. But the only thing is that when u browse any site, the Antivirus will ask you to add as safe site. Bye bye
