ISA2006SP1 Change password not working with Forms based authentication

Hi there,

could someone pls give me a helping hand on our issue?
Weve set up everything (hopefully correctly) and using FBA for some different publishing rules in our environment.
We are failing when it comes to changing passwords using the "I want to change my password after logging on".

The listener is configured to use LDAP as authentication method and the validation servers are also configured correctly (connect LDAP Servers over secure connection).

But when trying to change the passwords the form always pops up with "The credentials enterd are not valid. Verify that the password for the old password is valid and try again".

Any Ideas?

Thanks & best regards
Geri

Hi,
Firstly, please check the KB below:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957859/en-au

In addition, please make sure that the connection between the ISA Server 2006 and the DC that authenticates the user is fine. Please also ensure that the ISA Server computer have the root certificate of the CA that issues the server certificate located in its Local Computer Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
Furthermore, you can gather data by using the ISA Data Packager to analyze the reason for this. For more detailed information, please refer to the link below:

Hi,

thx for the hint - but I cannot change the password for any user (no matter if the password has expired or not).
Trying to connect to the DC with LDP Tool (Port 636 SSL) is working and full functioning. Also no drops or disconnects on our firewall.

root Certificate is also installed (expiring 2016).

But Ill give the KB957859 a try - could you pls. provide me with a download link as I cant download this Hotfix directly on the KB Page.

Thx and best regards
Geri
