IPv6 problem gone horribly wrong
Today I get on my computer (that I was streaming from the night before and not turning off the computer) and I can't connect via homegroup. So I troubleshoot. My IPv6 was manually disabled. I go to my adapter properties and uncheck the IPv6 then recheck it. No luck. So I go to my device manager. Scroll on down to my wireless network card. Right click and uninstall. Restart. Back to the device manager. Blah blah blah, I install it through the list. I get an error code 31. Joy. So I connect to the internet via (a very long) ethernet cord. Go to Atheros, grab the drivers there. Tried to install those. Code 31 again. So I go to HP and grab the drivers there. Installed getting error code 31 again but this time it's like the driver is halfway set up. The adapter shows in the adapter but as a different name(Wireless Network Connection 2) and it shows no available connections. Any thoughts?

That’s seem the driver problem or this driver is not compatible with Windows 7. Please remove all wireless network driver, and contact HP for the Windows 7 driver. Can you do a System Restore to a date when the PC was working properly? Jerry

The whole reason I'm here is because the driver won't uninstall to allow my to reinstall. :/ System restore is disabled. Can anyone suggest anything other than what I've already done? As for contacting HP for help...I'd rather read than try to decrypt a heavy ascent. Got any instructions to manually uninstall a driver? Specifically a network driver.

Hi, This issue related to incompatible driver issue, so a windows 7 wireless driver is necessary. In addition, try to unplug all unnecessary hardware and login with Clean Boot and install the driver for test.
