Hi, Thank you for your post. Before we go further, I would like to confirm the following points with you: 1. Does the Windows XP machine (the second computer referred in your post) connect to the Internet through the Windows Vista machine? Does it mean ICS is enabled on that Windows Vista machine? I would appreciate it if you can provide more detailed information about the network environment. 2. Please confirm whether the Windows XP machine can access the Internet now? Regarding the issue now during running my xp pc which gets the limited or no connectivity, it can occur if one of the following factors is true: The Windows XP machine gets an APIPA address (169.254.x.x). The Windows XP machine is manually assigned an IP address which is not in the same subnet as the IP address of the Windows Vista machine. As a result, please check the IP address of the Windows XP machine. You may export the IP configuration of both Windows XP and Windows Vista machines for further research: ========= 1. Log onto the system. 2. Click Start, type cmd in Start Search box (click Run and type cmd on Windows XP), and press Enter. 3. In the Command Prompt, type ipconfig /all > c:\ip.txt and press Enter. 4. Open the above file (ip.txt which is stored in C drive), and copy and paste the output in the current thread. Regarding the IPv6 Connectivity is limited issue, its possible cause can be the router not supporting IPv6. Based on my experience, it should not result in network issues if you are not using IPv6 in the environment. Hope it helps. Sincerely, Joson Zhou Microsoft Online Community Support

To further add to Joson's reply, if you export the IP configuration on Vista and get "Access Denied" you may be writing to a folder or drivethat you are not permitted to write to. When the command prompt window opens, you'll want to type: ipconfig/all >ip.txt The file will be exported to C:\Users\<username>. Open the text file named "ip.txt" and copy and paste the results into your next reply. Eric Cross Microsoft MVP (Windows Networking) http://mvp.support.microsoft.com
