IPv4 Alternate Configuration
Hi, can you tell me where I can find the 'Internet Prototcol Version 4 Alternate Configuration' settings in the registry?
I know how to access them via the Local Area Connection Properties GUI, but I need to be able to script a solution that can display the alternate settings for non-admin users. As non-admin users cannot access the Local Area Connection properties
in Windows 7, that is NOT an option.

Thanks John
I looked at that documentation yesterday, but I don't have the registry key(s) that it is talking about. I think that page is specific to Windows mobile?...

Hi,
When you have set IP address for a user, a GUID will created in registry, it located in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces
In that GUID, you will find the registry key “IPAddress” “SubnetMask”, you can try to modify it to change IP address.
