IODS MA Full Synchronization

Hi,

We have IODS as data source and we have almost 1400,000 records in IODS which we have successfully imported in IODS MA connector space, Now when we are running full synchronization on IODS MA it just synchronizing 5000 records in 24 ours.So it seems like taking months to synchronize all 1400,000 records.

Is there any way we can speed up the synchronization process.

Thanks,

Rakesh

That is very slow - I would expect a sync time of 1000-2000 per minute for most MAs on a reasonably-specced setup. What is your RAM/CPU on the Sync Service server? Same again on the SQL server (assuming they are separate). Do you have lots of extension code making costly calls like external lookups or FindMVEntries? Are there groups in the feed with very large member lists? Are you doing regular DB maintenance on the Sync Service DB such as shrinking the logs and rebuilding indexes?

Hi Dave,

Thank you very much for your reply.

Our sync server configuration is 10 processors @2.70DHz,32.0 GB RAM.We do have two database servers in cluster and the configuration of the database servers is (server 1) 16 processors @2.70GHz,128 GB RAM and (server 2)10 processors @2.70GHz,64 GB RAM. Also we do have extension code on almost every management agent calculating email, account name,SPN etc.Because we are not configuring sync rule in portal we are trying to use classic rule provisioning approach. We don't have any group in the feed because this is the first synchronization we are running after the setup. Yes, we do regular database maintenance.

Please provide some help.

Thanks,

Rakesh
