INTERMITTENT NETWORK CONNECTION WITH WINDOWS 7
My Dell Inspiron 530s PC's (6 of them) with Intel(R) (82562V-2 10/100) network adaptors lose their internet connection at various times. 6 Other PC's in the classroom with Realtek adaptors connect fine. The problem started soon after we upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium. We have tried uninstalling AVG, disabling power save options, downloading most current Intel network driver, running Ccleaner. None of these work permanently.

My new pc with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit have the same/a very similar problem. The network adapter is integrated on the motherboard which is MSI GF615M-P33. If the internet connection is present when the pc starts, it will stay connected. If there is no internet connection (and there is a yellow triangle on the network icon in systray) the only thing that helps is to reboot the pc.

Hi ilovespring, Please update the motherboard (chipset) driver to see if the issue can be resolved. Also, bypass the router to check the result. If the issue persists, go into Safe Mode with Networking (Restart computer, press the F8 key when the boot menu pops up, select [Safe Mode with Networking], and boot up) and check if the issue still occurs. Also, run the Troubleshooting tool by going to Control Panel -> Troubleshooting -> Connect to the Internet. Hope this helps. Regards, Linda
