IIS 7 Remote Administration in Windows 7
I see there is an option to install the IIS Management Service when running optionalfeatures.exe. That also seems to create a service which is set to run manually called "Web Management Service".Then I see that there is "IIS Manager for Remote Administration" which looks to be more a way to enable a Client OS (in my case Windows 7) to control a server OS (in my case 2008 R2).The question I have is if there is any way a Windows 7 Client can remotely connect and manage the web site of another Windows 7 Cilent. From what I see in the IIS forums it doesn't look like it can.If that is the case (I hope it isn't), then what does the Web Management Service do?
