IE not opening new window tab
I can open newtabs from my favorites but if I go to bing and search for something then try to open that link in a new tab it just sits on connecting. I can only runone IE at a time if there is a link in a email I can not open it, but if i copy it then it will work. IE 8 is the one that I am using.

Well IE just lets in so many viruses since it has most of the browser market share... You probably have a virus since you use IE.... Try scanning the system using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (malwarebytes.org ). It's free (but a key is needed for proactive protection) and doesn't slow down the system, since it doesn't run all the time (unless you have the proactive protection). I run it on my game system. Please try every solution given to your problem...and reply back with its results... - JoelbX

I turn all the add-ons off or disable then and still got the same results .

Start all programs accessories system tools start ie with no add ons, if that does not work try this. In IE goto tools/internet options/Advanced Tab/ You should have a list of items with checkboxes. Look for the one that says REUSE windows for opening new shortcuts. Also do you have yahoo tool bar if so try uninstalling it, and see if that helps.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Database version: 2462 Windows 6.1.7100 Obviously with that database version you didn't check for database updates... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoActiveDesktopChanges (Hijack.DisplayProperties) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. Go into the quarantine tab and delete the key there and see if that helps... Also try running another scan with the latest database... just to make sure... ...And stop using IE! (you can tell I despise IE) Sometimes if IE goes wacko, there is no getting it back to the way it was... Um, have you disabled any services? Maybe IE can't function because of some service? Please try every solution given to your problem...and reply back with its results... - JoelbX

At one time Ihad a problem with mail links and IE8 tabs.If your using windows live mail make sure it's running in compatabilty mode along with live messenger. Messenger requires a reinstall after placing it in compatability so you will need to know where the .msi is located.
