IE getting wrong DNS info
I have a laptop that cannot connect to a webpage eventhough other laptops on the same network can. I checked the hosts file but there is no entry for this webpage. Obviously IE is getting a bum DNS address but from where?
Other info: I tried using "nslookup" to get the ip # but it issued an ip for another site.

You really cant use IE to troubleshoot DNS issues. NSLOOKUP is a more appropriate tool for this scenario. First I would compare teh results to IPCONFIG /all from a working laptop to the settings you have on this problem laptop.
If you are getting unexpected results from NSLOOKUP, you'll need to continue troubleshooting at the DNS server you are connecting to.

Have you tried flushing the dns?
If not then try IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS
