I have seen problems with IE7 and IE8 too. IE6 is simply the most vulnerable. Microsoft should have make IE7 and IE8 available to Windows 2000 users instead of leaving them in the wind. I use Windows 7 and my Linux server noticed hordes of connections from China of late. No problem as my server is very secure against penetration. Vegan, It would be foolish for someone to go vist your dyndns host website.You are asking people do something they should NOT DO, go to some unknown off the wall website that could be attempting to exploit the hole.The Vulnerability you are talking about has to have a HUMAN in play, that HUMAN has to be someone who is foolish and will click on any ole link.That Facebook link from that friend...that twitter link...that story about the newest hole in I.E....get it...So if you want people to take you seriously, you need to act like a real company and put up a REAL DOMAIN.

That is a red herring, Firefox is secure enough. With this IE exploit on the loose, I am advocating the using an alternative until the patches surface. The punch lines is that Microsoft has to deal with the defect, until then you can disable JavaScript and be safer, or use Firefox. Firefox is not safer...it just has different holes / flaws...Folks who think that it is safer to use some "open source software" need to rethink how they use the net.It is the HUMAN which is insecure, my browser does not click anything, I DO (or rather I do not).I sit in front of a XP pro box..I guess it has been 8 years on this Load of XP and never once has this box been infected with ANYTHING.Of course I do not surf ____, facebook, myspace, twitter, I do not download illlegal content, I do not open email from known folks.I do not click on every link I see; I protect myself (well me and opendns), I do not depend on I.E. (microsoft or anyone else) to protect me. Do not get me wrong, I make a good living in open source (centos / asterisk) but I also know that it has secure issues as well.
