IE Option for Dial Whenever a Network Connection is Not Present Keeps Getting Set
I'm using Windows 7. The option in IE named "Dial Whenever a Network Connection is Not Present" is the default. I've changed it to "Never dial a connection" many times. However, if I open a new IE window, the option is still "Dial whenever a network connection is not present" is automatically selected. When I visit some websites, like my local paper's website, it will eventually pop up the dial up networking window and then put my browser in offline mode. I'm using IE 8. Is there something that is preventing this option from getting saved? Is there a registry key I can look at and, perhaps, create a shortcut for so I can simply double-click it to set the option? Hi, Is there any group policy configured in the local machine? Or is this computer in the domain? If so, you may check with the domain administrator to see if there is any policy configured.
