IE Crashing
Is anybody else having trouble with IE 8 crashing? It seems VERY unstable. I had trouble using it in Vista, and now in Windows 7. In each OS, when I switch to FireFox, the crashing stops. I prefer IE, but cannot handle crashing regularly on normal pages. It's a daily occurrence. Anybody have any suggestions?Thank you for your time.

IE8 hasn't been very stable since Beta 2. I normally get it hang once or twice a day, and that's without any addons, which can and do contribute depending on their own quality so you might want to run down the list of addons (Tools -> Manage addons) that you've got and disable any you don't need and see if that helps. A new public build of IE8 has been, or will very shortly be released. But this will only be supported on Windows XP and Windows Vista, a future build of Windows 7 will include a newer version of IE. According to the IE blog they've been really hammering the bugs out of IE8, so with a bit of luck a new build will be significantly more stable.

I also had some problems with IE 8, but all of them went away after Resetting it. Go to "Internet Options", Click on "Advance" tab. Now, click on "Reset" button, and follow the commands. . Resetting the Internet Explorer will disable all the Ad-ons. Keep your eye on the "Notification Bar", and install the Ad-ons that you trust. After Resetting Internet Explorer 8, I noticed faster browsing, and I cannot remember when did IE 8 crashed last time. Hope this helps... Zaheer Sheikh
