IE Behavior in Win7/RC
Hi, There is a varying behaviour in Win7 (/RC) IE behavior when moving back and forward in pages. Sometimes when selecting some link in a web page, and returning back the original web page will be displayed from the top and sometimes from the point where the selected link is. I think it should work in a way where return should bring you back to the original place where selected link is(?) I don't think if this is actually a question, more like an error report of win7. -altti-

Altti - I've noticed that at times myself - and while it does seem strange, there are a couple of things I've noticed. 1.) Sometimes the original page may have changed somehow - so if that happens, you will likely lose your place.2.) Sometimes there's a rather lengthy delay in finishing the reload of the previous page. I think it depends on how complex the page in question is - what all it's got to load/reload... All in all, I think it's a bit slower than previous versions of IE - but not like the beta version which was fairly close to unusable.

Hello Altti_H,Im inclined to agree with Wolfie here, this is likely more to do with the page than IE itself. I have experienced that same issue in virtually every operating sytem and with several different versions of IE. One thing I've noticed, and this may tie in with what Wolfie said, pages that have RSS feeds linked to them. They are constantly updated and pushing out the newest version, this could cause you to get bumped back to page start. Especially if people are able to comment on the page, this also could cause it to see a "newer page".-Scott

everybody -As an example - if you load a really long thread from here - such as this one- and you've just replied to someone and hit the refresh - it will go to the top of the post first, finish loading the rather lengthy page (4 - 8 seconds), and then it'll go down to whereever you left off.
