IE 8 Favorites Bar Problem
I have been running the Windows 7 RC since 5/5, as my primary operating system with generally very good results. However, during the last week, first the IE 8 Favorites Bar link to zdnet news disappeared/was gone, and then about two days later, the link to FOXNews also disappeared. I replaced the two links and have not had any more disappear in a couple of days.Is this a known issue? and if so, is there a fix to prevent it from happening? This was a clean install of the Windows 7 RC, 64 bit, on a single partition of a freshly reformatted almost new 500GB Western Digital Hard drive. I did use the Windows 7 tool to transfer files and settings from my old XP Home SP3 hard drive, which had also used IE 8, but with no problems. The Windows 7 system is fully updated through Microsoft Update. I am running Nod32 version4, 64 bit, fully updated and am using the Windows 7 Firewall and its Windows Defender for my AV/AS software. Thanks for any help,dagar7wdagar@hotmail.NO_SPAM.com

Dagar, This is not a known issue, and unless it recurs or you lose other data, I see no reason to suspect hard drive corruption. Keep in mind that this is still preview software, and that the Favorites directory is tied into Windows and Internet Explorer, increasing the chances of a small bug cropping up.-Alex

Thanks for responding. If Ilose any more links from the Favorites Bar, is there someplace where I should report it for further investigation?dagar7
