I have a COMPAQ that's running XP with SP2 and IE6. Whenever IE is initiated, it opens in the background but it won't appear to the user. There is an MS update for IE8 for XP. But when I try to install, (there's no sign of malicious software) it goes through the process and fails to install the update for IE 8. Thus, no IE8 for XP. I'll also try to open Windows Live Messenger, for example, and it'll open in the background but won't come forward. It won't appear in the bottom taskbar either. I've tried to install FireFox, but it won't appear either.1 person needs an answerI do too
