IE9 Beta
Not a question just a FYI.
downloaded & installed IE9 Beta about an hour ago. I liked it. however, a serious flaw showed up on attempting to test it out....
I don't know whether or not it's meant to copy over one's bookmarks, but on my computer it did. Saying that, I was very disappointed in that it only carried over approx 12% of all my bookmarks.
On IE 8 due to the many bookmarks I have for various forums, online shopping sites etc, I had them all in the relevant folders to save having them in one large & messy file.
IE 9 did not copy those folders over, just 12% of my bookmarks.
I hope that this will not be an issue when IE 9 enters the general population.

Hello Sirius,
Have you tried to export the bookmarks from IE8 and then Import them into IE9?

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
First, I suggest you back up the bookmarks and favorites before the installation.
Also, I will report this to our related department.
Regards,
Sabrina

Thanks for the replies. To be honest, I can't recall if I backed them up (have got too reliant on WHS..lol). Will try that & report back.

Ok, after restoring my workstation via WHS, tried the option suggested & with a slight hiccup in trying to find how to import files. All O.K, & my intiial view is "impressive".
Thanks for the advice Falcon & Sabrina, much appreciated.
Not only has my bookmarks been backed up, but stored offline so that they can be restored when IE 9 final version is released.
Edit: - I wished to mark Falcons post as "mark as answered" but it's not showing up on bottom of posts.
