We have an ASP Classic application When using IE8 the session does not get passed to the child window intermittently when doing a window.open. This is now happening to many of our Production Customers hosted online and occurs only since upgrading to IE8. We notice that if doing a window open it might work once and then not work 3 times. I.e. the child window keeps the same Session.SessionId and then sometimes it creates a new session. It seems as though there is some sort of corruption in the browser processes itself. Hi, What is the name of application? Is the application written by you? I am assuming that there might be a written code imcompatible with Internet Explorer 8. I recommend you to open Internet Explorer 8 in Compatibility View mode and see if the problem occurs. BTW, I would recommend you to post in MSDN forums to test the ASP application.
