Hi, Now since Windows 7 released, i am so glad using it. lately...IE experince some bugs like when i click the IE8 taskbar icon, it opens a blank window with busy or working in background pointer and nothing happens.I have to right click again and start a new window then it will work. Doesnt matter which website, some times it works and lately getting more troubles opening same pages. Setting protected mode to off helps but this is notA solution. I have windows 7 ultimate ENver 7000 64 bit. sun java installed, and AVG toolbar is also active Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds a bit like my problem. I installed an upgrade of Windows 7. First time running everything went well. All programs - including IE8 worked fine. I then ran Microsoft Update and that's when the problem started. IE8 will now start - run for one second - and then shut down. Firefox & Chrome continue to run normally. I tried to do a system restore, but still no luck.

My IE8 doesnt crash, it hangs only and when i open a new windows it works fine but i have to ( of course) shutdown the hanging page through taskbar ( Ctrl+ Alt + Del) It is a good program but the high security setting causes all these problems, well will appreciate any good answers

I've always had problems with IE, with or without add-ons, as have millioins of others. I'll simply wait until Win 7 is released for sale, purchase it and then use another browser. IE isn't worth the attention it requires.It is the responsibility and duty of everyone to help the underprivileged and unfortunate among us.
