IE8 error message
win 7 home premium 64 bit on new 1 t hd ,when i tried to use ie8 the first time it did not open , when it did open after a couple trys it came up with a message thet my default websearch page has been corrupted , then opens the addon box and shows
bing is the default.how to fix very nutty ?

tried the 9 same issue i think i will maybe uninstall 8 and try a reinstall the bing is disabled and google is set to default but this issue started right after the install b4 i did any updates from microsoft . On my pc i had no issues with 8 and run
win 7 pro 64bit. 9 gave me poor performance so i went back to 8

OH! I forgot about this!!! try this http://support.microsoft.com/fixit/
click on the IE icon and select one of the issues closest to your problem it will give you a nice little download that most likely will fix any issue you have with IE..... I had to use the one for windows media player to fix my library and it worked great!

You may want to start over with a clean installation. A fresh installation should not exhibit a problem like that.

try disabling the BING addon or better yet.... download IE9 and install it, IE9 much better than IE8

Please try to reset IE to check if it works.
Open IE, click Tools - Internet Options - Advanced Tab - Reset Internet Explorer settings.
