IE8-32 will not start under Win7-64 Ent Sp1. Shuts down immediately, no event msg.
I recently tried turning IE off, then on again to get it back to a default state. When I try to start IE8-32, it either does not start or shuts down again so fast that I can't detect it. (Something blinks, and though I'm watching process explorer, it apparently dies too fast for me to catch it.). I see nothing apparently related (an error or warning contemporaneous with my attempts) in any of the error logs. I have no problem with IE8-64. Any suggestions to get 32-bit working?

Hi, First, try the following methods to see if this could fix your issue: When you start Internet Explorer, it opens, flashes, and then closes immediately Second, please boot into Safe Mode with networking to check if this issue persists, if not, we could perform a clean boot to determine the root cause: How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7 Hope it helps.
