IE7 crashing on new Vista install.
I have a clean install of Vista Ultimate wheich works fine (can PING to the Internet, etc.) but when I launch IE7 it crashes every time. This has happened since the 1st time I ever tried running IE7 so ther is no flash, Yahoo, Skype, (or anything else other than the O.S. itself installed on this machine). This is what Vista spews when the browser dies: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: iexplore.exe Application Version: 7.0.6002.18005 Application Timestamp: 49e01e18 Fault Module Name: mshtml.dll Fault Module Version: 7.0.6002.18005 Fault Module Timestamp: 49e02cf4 Exception Code: 80000003 Exception Offset: 006c8e39 OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: fd00 Additional Information 2: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160 Additional Information 3: fd00 Additional Information 4: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160 Read our privacy statement: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=50163&clcid=0x0409 When i try and search for Windows updates i get the message "No new updates available" which i have a hard time believing. Just trial guessing - did you perform all available MS product updates before firing IE ? Poutnik
