Every time I go to a web page that has advertising on it, or tonight i noticed that whenI started up Live Messenger and the ad appeared,a username/password login box pops up for each advertising domain (Typical login box asking for username/password and says Connecting to ads.adsonar.com or whichever domain is hosting the advertising). I have scanned my system with maleware, eset, and spybot scans, and none of them have found anything. All of the ad domains are listed in my HOSTS file and I have all of my settings up the highest levels but I still get these annoying prompts.What am I missing? The IE7 on this computer is identical to the one out in the kitchen and it works normal out there.I am using IE7, XP Pro, behind a Linksys router, and have Symantec installed.Any thoughts? 1 person needs an answerI do too
