ICS with LAN and WLAN
Hello! On my PC which runs 24/7 I have 2 NICs and have just added 1 PCI WLAN card. Nic #1 gets the IP from ISP and shares its internet with NIC #2 thru ICS. Now I have also added a PCI WLAN cared and turned it into an AD-HOC netwok. How do I turn on ICS for the AD-HOC network also? So both wired clients and wireless clients will be able to connect to this computer and have internet. So the network would look like this: internet->NIC1 -> NIC2 -> wired clients -> WLAN CARD -> wireless clients So far I was thinking about bridging NIC #2 and WLAN card and then set ICS for them. Am I correct? ps. I know this can easily be accomplished by buying a wireless router but that is not a possibility

Hi, May I know how the NIC2 connect to the wired client, via a Crossover cable? If so, please refer to: Connect two computers using a crossover cable To enable ICS, please refer to: Using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) Hope this helps. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT

There appears to be a problem with ICS and adhoc networks. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itpronetworking/thread/dc00f244-b397-40be-8286-b448249949f0
