I'm almost certain that my computer used to have Windows XP SP2 but now it as XP SP3 if i remove SP3 will it go back to SP2 automatically & if so will it remove any changes, files, etc made in SP3?
I have a problem with my themes now &i use XP SP3 and am really hoping going back 2 SP2 will reverse any changes made in SP3 & really need to know if SP2 actually was previously on my XP computer. I dont do my own maintnence unless im doing virus/malware scans & downloading updates. but fixing the computer & upgrading OS i hire a professional1 person needs an answerI do too

SP3 is a critical update, you dont want to try and go back to SP2, if MSupdate is turned on it would automatically have been updated. Are these win default themes or those provided by a third party? SP3 can require that your hardware drivers have been updated, and NOT via MSUpdate

they are the default themes. and that particular problem is in my post "I want to get ALL of my AVERAGE, normal windows XP themes back (please read all details)"http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpdesktop/thread/9af51198-1d49-4246-b8ed-85939c045413 but i suppose than all i can do is back up all files & try a complete system restore hitting F8 at startup & selecting "last know good configuration"

I cannot answer the Q re classic view, all I can suggest is that you update your graphics driver from that makers site, and NOT via MSUpdateIf the PC is a large oem eg Dell / HP or Laptop, from that makers site, specific to your model, If a generic PC from the individual hardware makers, eg motherboard, if onboard graphics, or card maker if a PCI graphics card
