How to use touch input to move the mouse cursor.

Hi,

How can I use a stylus to only control the cursor instead of using swipe and zoom gestures?

I have created a digital form that I want my customers to be able to sign with a stylus. The form works fine except on windows 8.1 touch tablet. I feel like it has something to do with the touch controls of windows 8.1 more than the form itself. If I hook a mouse up to the tablet, the cursor changes to a crosshair when placed in the signature field and I can sign using the cursor. When I attempt to sign with a stylus, it either scrolls the webpage up and down or reads the input as touch gestures and zooms in and out.

The signature input works fine with a mouse and will work fine on an ipad, but in the field I am using a Dell Windows 8.1pro tablet.

Thanks

Is it a real stylus or just a capacitive pen?  Sounds like the latter.  Otherwise, you could also try disabling Multi-touch on the screen, leaving only the digitizing function for the stylus.  I had to do that once for my TouchSmart when the TouchScreen was acting up.  But in that case it was Ntrig's DuoSense that allowed me to make that change.  I don't know what other manufacturers' implementations would enable.

Yes, it is only a capacitive pen, not a true stylus. I can't find an option to disable multi-touch, but I disabled flicks, which didn't seem to accomplish anything. I will see I can try a true stylus to see if that will help. Thanks.

Hi,

How is the current situation? Please update in order to know if that true stylus is working.
