That sounds like something that would be virtually impossible - you would be trying to display the host desktop in a guest. You just answered your own question. Netmeeting is running in the XP Mode VM. It cannot run in Windows 7. Once you start Netmeeting it is actually running in the XP OS which is running on top of Windows 7. So, since the guest OS is running on top of, or within in, the host OS, how do you expect the guest to see the host desktop? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. It is impossible. Windows XP doesn't "know" that Windows 7 exists. As far as it "knows", it is a completely separate computer running on its own. NetMeeting has been deprecated for nearly a decade, as Microsoft has come out with many tools that supersede the functionality. You can switch to one of these apps, some of which are free. Other options include Microsoft SharedView or 3rd party programs. If this was helpful, please vote by clicking the green triangle. If it solves the issue, click Propose as Answer. Thanks!
