With Windows 8.1 Enterprise  preview, after getting a bad sector I went through Check Disk's fix error routine, and then tried to use Refresh. It tells me my disk is locked and needs to be unlocked. I know of no way to do this short of reformatting and reinstalling Windows. I have read "Cannot unlock drive and unable boot back into Windows 8" and didn't see an answer.  Of course, maybe the answer is that there is no answer.
