How to troubleshoot crashing software on Remote TS connection to Windows 7 Enterprise
I use Terminal Services Gateway on my network and can connect from the outside to any PC on the network without issue except one. My workstation is Win 7 Ent 32 bit and if I have my account logged when I leave for the day and then use TS Gateway to connect from home later, all running software crashes with messages that say "Outlook 2010 experiencd an error and needs to close...trying to recover your work...etc". Thsi happens to all Office programs, Adobe software (acrobat and Dreamweaver), Windows Explorer crashes and restarts. Even the Desktop Window Manager crashes. Has anyone else experienced this? James Nelson Update - In the event log I see a lot of Event ID 1000 Windows Error Reporting saying that my programs faulted buth no explanation.

Jnelson, I have only seen this once before when my profile was corrputed. I logged into my machine as a local admin, then removed my domain account profiile, then logged back onto my laptop with my domain creds and it worked fine after that.

Yes, rebuild user profile on Windows 7 is an option. Furthermore, you logon Windows 7 with Clean Boot , temporally disable firewall and antivirus program on Windows 7, also remove some third party tools, disable IPv6. In addition, about application error 1000, you can refer these article: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Windows%20Operating%20System&ProdVer=5.2&EvtID=1000&EvtSrc=Application%20Error&LCID=1033 http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?eventid=1000&eventno=1475&source=Application%20Error&phase=1 Please Note: Since the website is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice.
