How to stop a program asking the same permission again and again?
It is a third party language input program. I use hot keys to switch input languages. So there is no shortcut I can access. I have expected the operating system would offer an option to remember the user's choice so the question would not pop up again.

A program when run always brings up a question asking for approval as follows. Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer? I want to run the program for the usual work but do not want it to do any other things . Is it a way to stop the question from coming up again?

This behavior is caused by the design of the program. Whether UAC prompt will be trigged depends on the content in the manifest of the program. Only the program publisher can resolve this issue. Another workaround is disabling UAC, but I do not suggest you to do it. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. What program is it? It's usually the program, and not Windows, who triggers the User Account Control dialog box (and it can't be disabled without disabling the entire UAC, not recommended). First of all, open the shortcut properties, click the Advanced button, and see if the "Run as administrator" checkbox is unchecked. If the problem persists, it is probably a legacy program that is not adapted to non-admin environments, or a badly designed application. You have to check for updates or contact the manufacturer. http://blogs.msmvps.com/dmartin/ | http://www.wintecnico.com
