How to share an offline folder?
Hello How do I share an offline folder? Basically I have a server with photos on it, I then have a machine called \\livigroom that sync with the \\server\photos folder. So all is great so the sync is automatic. Now I want to share the offline folder of \\livingroom\photo machine so basically even if the \\server is off I can access to the \\livingroom\photos (the offine one) I try to map a drive and also to use homegroup but I wasn't able to do it, I'm sure there must be a way thanks for your help ww.

You must use the sync center from the control pannel. Alternatively go to the start menu and type sync center in the search box. You will then need to set up a sync partnership. _______________________________________________ Regards, Taylor Gibb MCITP: Enterprise Admin MCITP: Server Admin MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician on Windows 7 MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 7 MCSA MCTS x 5 MOM: Microsoft Office Master Specialist Microsoft Office Expert Microsoft Office Specialist

To set up Offline Files open a network folder, right click on a file or folder, and select Always Available Offline. Offline Files allows you to access network files while working offline. My question is: how do you then share those 'offline files' that are in the c:\windows\csc folder? thanks w w.

Hi, I would like to let you know C:\Windows\CSC folder is to keep the cache of Offline files and folders when the feature is enabled. User don't have permission to access the folder. It is protected by authentication. After enabling Always Available Offline feature on machine \\livigroom, only the current user login on machine \\livigroom can access the photos. Best Regards, Niki Please remember to click "Mark as Answer" on the post that helps you, and to click "Unmark as Answer" if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.
