How to set up a wifi connection on another PC?
I want to set up a wifi connection between two desk tops. One has a modem and a wireless router. I want to wirelessly connect to that one using wifi. How can I go about doing this? Ive already purchased a wireless usb adapter.

1.Check your computer for Ethernet and USB adapters. Look for a jack on the back of the computer that looks like a phone line jack except slightly larger. Making sure that they function properly beforehand may save you a trip to the store later 2.Choose which type of cable you will use. Base this decision on the adapters available and that function properly and the type of cable that you already have on hand. If you have a null modem serial cable, you may choose to use it instead of purchasing a new cable at the store; however, these types of connections create lower performance and slower speeds. 3.Purchase Ethernet crossover cable or special-purpose USB cable, depending on which you will use. A network consisting of Ethernet crossover cables supports high-speed connections with minimal configuration so it is the recommended choice. Computers with no functional Ethernet adapter require a USB-to-Ethernet converter for this type of network. 4.Connect the cable to the Ethernet or USB adapters in each computer so that they have a line of direct communication.
