How to revert to IE8?
I have installed IE9 under my W7 Home Premium v.6.1, which presently has some sort of incompatibility with an important financial program. How can I revert to IE8? I was going to uninstall IE9 after downloading IE8, but cannot find a webpage to facilitate the latter.

Uninstallation of IE 9 will revert your IE version to IE 8, and unless you delete the Internet Explorer by deleting one of Windows Component, IE will stay. "Everything we do is dictated by motive."

How do I uninstall Internet Explorer 9 Beta (applies to RTM, too)? http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/InternetExplorer/thread/7250c2d2-20e1-4f0a-8056-4a6abd9a0f9b If you can't see it under Installed Updates, run this command twice from an command prompt (cmd.exe) with adminrights [1]: FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*9.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /norestart" this removes the IE9 with the help of the command line (this is 1 line of code). Many thanks - I will continue with IE8 until the providers of the program sort out their connection with IE9.
