How to restore REMOVED imap account in Windows 8 mail app?
My wife got a new laptop and she set up her business email account in the Mail app. It showed up as two accounts with same name . . . one was working and another was trying to do something. I selected the account that WAS working by mistake and chose remove account. How can I restore that account. Is the info still stored on the laptop to restore? Can't find any info on this anywhere anywhere on the web. Thanks for the help.

Hi,

Based on my research ,the email cache data for window mail app store the following path:

C:\Users\Eric\AppData\Local\Packages\microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\L iveComm\cff1cc1d7e3d57fe\120712-0049\DBStore\livecomm.edb

Meanwhile, for a IMAP account, their all email messages are stored on servers.

So, I suggest you recreate your mail account to check if all the mail messages exist.

Hope this helps.
