Win7 Ultimate SP1 all updates. Comodo firewall. (not a firewall problem. Disabled CFP and problem still exists.) MSE prerelease AV Had laptop and Tower set up on home network and something, mysteriously, happened to corrupt homegroup on tower only. Laptop is fine. I have been googling every possible homegroup fix possible. I have tried to many "solutions" to list. I am able to see other computers and be seen through local workgroup, but homegroup is F****ked. I'm just a bit OCD and really want to find an answer. So many people with the same problem and no answer! Wish there was some way to reset homegroup. 1) All services started except homegroup listener. 2) Deleteted PRNP file. 3) Reset all registry permissions to default. 4) Tried all other obvious methods to leave homegroup or reset password. Nothing works! I am quite skilled at fixing windows problems but, this one is really **** me off. Please HELP!!! I can tell you a few things for sure. 1) All processes necessary for homegroup are all running except, homegrouplistener. I receive "service specific error code 2147467262". 2) The laptop it was homegrouped with was able to leave and is still able to see the desktop through workgroup. 3)Desktop will show itself and other PC's on network but, not my laptop. When I manually enter laptop network address it will open and access shared files. 4) I uninstalled CFP (firewall) enabled windows firewall with all access in and out. No go!

1. What is output from nbtstat for both computers? 2. Whenever you have problem like this one, do not expect that other componets are functioning correctly. I would disable or remove external firevall, disable local firewall and AV 3. Why do you use prerelease MSSE? 4. Any trace in event log? 5. What did you before system fail? Rgds Milos
