Hi LewisL,1. Is your computer running on the domain? We recommend you to reset Internet Explorer settings and check if the issue persists. To do this, try these steps:a. Visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737b. Click Microsoft Fix it and save it on the desktop.c. Close all the windows and open the Microsoft Fix it file from the desktop.d. Run the tool successfully.e. Restart the computer and check the difference.Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.

Sadly, you did not include any details about your system or what version of Internet Explorer you are using. That could be because when posting a new question to the forum, you are not reminded to provide any of this information. If My Computer showing up in Internet Explorer is something new and you did not change it, something else changed it for you. You should do some scans for malicious software first and see if any obvious infections are the cause of this new "feature" in your IE.Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if desired. Here is a Microsoft article about one method you can read about that describes how My Computer is usually added to the Security zone:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315933Here is another article that is more reader friendly:http://surfthenetsafely.com/ieseczone3.htmThere is no quit without saving or undo feature in the registry editor, so if you decide to implement these adjustments (it doesn't hurt to just look and see what you have now), you should backup your registry first. Before making any changes to your registry, back it up with this popular free tool:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/erunt.htmlDo, or do not. There is no try.I need YOUR votes and points for helpful replies and Propose as Answers. I am saving up for a pony!
