How to prevent XP Mode from FULL ACCESS to my Disk Drives?
I'm VERY SCARED at the moment, for testing purposes I placed a file in the root of my C drive with highest privilidges, now, when I entered XP mode I just could delete the file without any access restrictions!
How am I going to trust such a virtual machine? I like UAC.. Seems my XP Mode got more permissions than I want it to have :( How can I prevent that, I'm not going to buy an AV for a virtual machine!

1. Use NoDrives in registry
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc938267.aspx
2. Use free MS Security Essentials (limited to 10 installation)
http://windows.microsoft.com/cs-CZ/windows/products/security-essentials
or any other free version of AV program

Hi,
Firstly, please let us know how you access the C drive in your host from XP Mode.
If you use
Integration Feature, the drives in your host will be mapped in XP Mode and have the full permission.
More information:
Share host drives with a virtual machine
To avoid this, you can disable mapping drives in Integration Feature Setting and use network share instead.
Hope this helps.
