Hi I got 2 HDD and I would like to move all the documents from C drive to D Drive in my Windows 7 version how ca i do that? any suggestions? I did this in XP but in Windows 7 i cant...Have fun..........

You should see at the top on the left side, the following primary folders:Favorites<your UserID>*ComputerNetworkControl PanelRecycle Bin* substitute the user name you log in with.Look under <your UserID> for My Documents - right click on it and select Properties.On the Properties window, look for the tab marked Location. Click on it. Substitute whatever path you want on your other drive. Click the Move button. Click OK.Problem solved. Repeat as needed on pictures, videos, etc...

As a clarification of Wolfie's directions - you want to look under libraries in the left pane, and right-click on a given library (e.g. Documents), then select Properties. In the properties menu, you can opt to include or remove a given directory, and from there, you're perfectly free to delete the default C:\Users\<username>.-Alex

Propose etc. Alex, your method (as written) would delete any documents in the original directory, but I prolly just misread your method.Most programs currently in use don't seem to care if a person uses libraries, and the ones that use the documents folder to write something, prefer an actual directory, which wolfie's method provides.'Fanboy'. If I put them in a library from various locations here and on my computer, it's massively more convenient for me, but a program might need a real location.
