How to make Win7 - 64 bit choose a driver other than windows driver by default?
Hello, I'm working on a project to deal with USB Mass Storage Devices, but I need to use a third-party driver to talk with the devices. The OS is windows 7 64 bit version. After plug in the device to system the first time, it will be shown as USB Mass Storage Device. And I'm able to install the third-party driver, and the device works fine. But next time when I insert another device with the SAME type, it will be under USB Mass Storage Device again. I have to install the third-part driver again, or click update drive for that device from Device Manager to choose the thrid-part driver. My question is that, how can I install the third-party driver only once, and it will use this driver for all devices of this kind? Is there some setting in Windows 7 to disable USB Mass Storage Device driver for certain devices? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated!! NOTE: the third party driver is not digitally signed.

You should probably go to Windows 7 miscellaneous for this; it doesn't relate to security issues. I'd move it for you if I could.
