How to keep SuperFetch(Sysmain) running for a fast HDD?
I am running W7 Ultimate x64 on a system with a fairly fast RAID5 for the system disk. Windows Experience Index is 6.6 and the SuperFetch(Sysmain) service was turned off. I have reset it to Automatic and started it and it continues to run after several days. I suspect some day WEI will update my index and again turn off the service. How do I prevent this since I truly have an HDD based RAID not an SSD? Thanks, John.

There is no way to prevent it. If the Index is calculated start the service, like you did. The Index doesn't change frequently so this is a good workaround."A programmer is just a tool which converts caffeine into code" CLIP- Stellvertreter http://www.winvistaside.de/

andre.ziegler, thanks. It is not the answer I had hoped for but I will stop asking. Enjoy, John.
