ADAM is not supported on Windows 7. But if your application supports it you can use AD LDS (W2K8 version of ADAM). http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=a45059af-47a8-4c96-afe3-93dab7b5b658 --Ephrem

The wuauserv and bits are essential to install AD LDS on Windows 7. you can use the below script for installing unattended. @ECHO OFF ECHO Configuring "Windows Update Service" to Auto sc config wuauserv start= auto ECHO. ECHO Configuring "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" to auto sc config bits start= auto ECHO. ECHO Configuring "DCOMLaunch" service to auto sc config DcomLaunch start= auto ECHO. ECHO Stopping and restarting the services net stop wuauserv net start wuauserv net stop bits net start bits net start DcomLaunch ECHO. :: Change the directory to installer path (on DVD) cd /d %~dp0 :: Supports only x64 bit :: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/934307 (Using wusa.exe) :: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A45059AF-47A8-4C96-AFE3-93DAB7B5B658&displaylang=en ECHO Installing "AD LDS (Windows6.1-KB975541-x64.msu)" wusa.exe Windows6.1-KB975541-x64.msu /quiet /norestart ECHO. ECHO Stopping "Windows Update Service" net stop wuauserv :: A space is required between the equal sign and the value ex: "start= disabled" sc config wuauserv start= disabled ECHO Stopping "Background Intelligent Transfer Service" net stop bits :: A space is required between the equal sign and the value ex: "start= disabled" sc config bits start= disabled
