How to get information about Win update driver?
Windows update wants to install a new hardware driver, and I would like to have information about the driver beyond what Windows update gives. Where can I get access to such information? Thank you.

You can look at the driver version that Windows Update provides and then look up that version on the manufacturer's website. That will give you information about the driver. If you found this post helpful, please give it a "Helpful" vote. If it answered your question, remember to mark it as an "Answer". Problem is, the manufacturer doesn't have the corresponding driver on its site. Hence my curiosity.

I should mention that I'm using Win 7 x64. But I'll take your advice. This may have something to do with a recent problem I got regarding "wpd filesystem volume driver", which came up about the same time. Things work as they should now however. Thanks!
