I have a third party legacy LoB application for which the UI wasn't written properly, in that the form doesn't account for possible changes in font sizes, resulting in buttons being pushed out of view and thus being totally inaccessible. I have no control over the application, the vendor who wrote it no longer exists, and it's absolutely vital to our mission. Changing the app code is not a possibility.
For Windows 7, I dealt with this by forcing all users' themes to change the system font back to Tahoma (from Segoe UI) and the font size to a smaller size that worked correctly. This capability has been removed in Windows 8 (Genius!) How can I force the app to use a particular font or font size? I'm open to all possible solutions, including virtualization, shims, etc.
TIA,
