How to exit windows 8 safe mode

I was reading the discussion about this issue as I am facing the same issue.  I am not sure how to find the password CD's you are mentioning.  Can you help me with details on how to do that.  I know my password but it seems to not accept it and therefore I am stuck at the login screen.  Any help you can provide on how to do that step would be great. ( I have attached your reply to the other users below)

That's a tough one to get out of.  One of the password CD's available on the internet is what you're probably going to have to use if you can't remember the password, but if you don't have any way to download them and burn them to CD it's a problem.

Your description is unclear.  What is the exact problem you are having?

Is it password, or safe mode?

I used mfconfig steps to change to safe mode to help try and resolve some issues I was facing.  When I restarted it comes to the login screen, but when I enter my password it is not recognizing it and I know it is correct.  I am now stuck and can't get past that screen.  I need to know how to get past it at this point.

Have you tried with no password?

Is this the only user account on the machine?

Is it an admin account?

Have you tried using the advanced boot options>command prompt>right click to run as admin>type net user administrator /active.  it should not let you do it without a password.  Try yours there.

I have no option to get back to any settings to change boot options.  It never gets that far.  When it boots it comes to windows login screen for my user account, not the admin.  I am not the only user setup on it.  It won't let me go in without password either.

I was looking at a previous thread on same issue and Bob Comer - Microsoft MVP Virtual Machine mentioned some steps about the step below but I don't know how to get find that:

Here is a full summary of what got me to this point:

My nephew downloaded a mp3 file which then infected by laptop with the Unideals virus on Chrome.  I uninstalled the program and everywhere I could find it.  The AVG virus scan said it found some items and removed them, yet each time I went to do the step to remove the extension from Chrome for it, it would then pop right back up.  I found some instructions on how to remove it completely by going into safe mode and doing the same steps.  I tried doing the steps under PC settings to select safe mode but when I chose 4 or F4 option it would eventually shut off and never reboot back in safe mode.  The other option provided was to do the run command mfconfig and do the boot option to go into safe mode that way and when it restarted it left me in the situation I have reported.  Hopefully this helps to know how I got to this point and any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.  On my screen I only have power option icon and a screen option to turn on keyboard and that is pretty much it other than password login info.  I have the HP Envy X2 detachable PC 13.

I don't have a disk drive either.  I don't know what my option are at this point to get me back up and running.
