How to enable offline sync for redirected folders only instead of a whole network share.

Hello,

In our environment, we have windows 8.1 desktops and laptops for users and they have folder redirection (like desktop, documents, My Music folders etc.) set to their home directory, which is present on a network share. Now for all desktop users, offline file catching is disabled from group policy and for all laptop users, its enabled. Offline file sync is disabled for desktop users, so that the offline files do not consume huge C: drive space, as on desktops, many users may have to login. I want to enable offline sync only for some of the redirected folders (instead of whole home drive) for desktop users, so that they can work properly during unavailability of their home share. Is there any group policy settings, so that we can enable available offline option for redirected folders only, where as the other home drive folders will not be available offline?

If i understand right you want for example to only have my documents available for offline usage and not the entire desktop and so on.

This GPO would do it  you would need to point o the location of my document for example.

Administratively assigned offline files
Lists network files and folders that are always available for offline use.
This setting makes the specified files and folders available offline to users of the computer.
