How do I disconnect from VPN so I can add HP printer to my network? I am using AT&T UVerse broadband. The HP Home Network Diagnostic Utility indicates that I probably have a Virtual Private Network. I did not know that I did, but maybe AT&T UVerse is considered a VPN. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit.

If the printer installation considered AT&T UVerse broadband as VPN connection, you may temporarily disconnect it to check the result. Arthur, When I went to my Network Connections, it shows one item that I am not familiar with. When I tried to follow the link, I get the following message: \\OC1679926587346 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permission. Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. The wording "Contact the administrator of this server" leads me to believe that this might be the VPN? I guess that would be the AT&T UVerse router? I searched on that "OC16......46" number on my HDD, but nothing came up. When I right-clicked to look at Properties, that option did not come up. The only options that came up were "Open"; "Open in new window"; "Connect with Remote Desktop Connection"; and "Create Shortcut". When I click on Open or Open in New Window, I get the "not accessible" message. When I click on "Connect with Remote Desktop Connection", I get the following message: "Remote Desktop cannot find the computer OC16....46. This might mean that OC16.....46 does not belong to the specified network. Verify the computer name and domain that you are trying to connect to." Is there a way I could just delete this 'computer' out of my network? Ralph
