How to disable the warning about running programs in Windows 7 when the shutdown button is pressed
Hello everybody,
a customer has a Windows 7 workstation and wants to shutdown is using the power button even if there is a program running. By default, the warning about running programs appear, with the option of a forced shutdown.
Is there a way to disable that warning and have Windows 7 terminate the running programs even if the don't quit on their own? I guess there could exist some registry value for that.

Hi,
As JagJag363 says, you may shutdown the computer via the shortcut or shutdown command line. But you can not use the Power button to shut down the computer without running programs warning. This is by design. Meantime, this behavior will ensure that you do
not have any documents or tasks are not being saved unless you specify the /f option.
