How to disable profile picture in Chat window

Hi,

previously when having a chat the users profile picture would not be in the chat window, only their icon on the top as normal but now every time I reply or the other user sends a message you see their name plus picture then what they said which is rather daft as I know who I am talking to and have no idea why this has started randomly can this please be disabled?

Many Thanks

Sarb

Hi Sarb,

This feature youre referring to is known as 'in-line' contact photos for IM, and was introduced in a recent Lync client-side update. There is not currently any way to disable this feature.

A degree of disatisfactioned has already been expressed by the user community regarding this, so you're not alone. There is a call for the feature to remain, but for a toggle on/off option to be added to it.

Sorry its not the answer youre after.

Kind regards
Ben
